2022
November: Little Swallow has appeared in a short film and podcast following some intrepid cyclists @leecraigie round the NC500 with food support from Ghillie Basan @ghilliebasan pointing them in the direction of tasty and local food producers. opening again on April 10th with marmalade galore as well as chutneys stocked up over the winter.
Also, opening every Monday and Tuesday in Nanny's cafe in Shieldaig for tea, coffee, cake, bowls and rolls as well as the odd sauce to spice things up. Come along and sample some more food. nanny's will be open with Lynn and Emily as usual from Wednesday to Saturday every week from 30 March.
2021
October - The Taste of the Highlands, a book by Ghillie Basan @ghillebasan and published by Birlinn Press features the cupboard and a recipe for Orange and Coriander Marmalade provided by me. Really exciting to be a part of this project and proud to be among the food producers included. I have some copies if you want to get direct from me or they are available from Nanny's.

June - excited to be visiting @ghillebasan for a cookery workshop - learning new things and maybe even things that can be included in the cupboard.

April - open again after lockdowns and hoping to have a full range of produce available as often as possible. Lots of jams, chutneys, marmalades as well.
​
April - just managed to source some flour from Scotland the Bread which I am very excited about using. Heritage grains with tons of flavour but may produce different loaves from usual. Let's see what happens!

2020:
April - will be supplying bread at Torridon Craft Fairs through the summer through the generosity of Lis at Wee Whistle Stop who is selling Scottish cheeses there as well as running the cafe.
January - cooked for fantatstic group of climbers for Moran Mountain, climbing to remember Martin who sadly went missing in the Himalaya last year leaving friends and family devastated, Hazel, Martin's daughter, is now managing the climbing adventures and if anyone is looking for a bespoke trip with catering from Little Swallow just get in touch with her through the link.

2019:
Winter is closing in and the swallows have left so it is time to put the cupboard to sleep. If anyone wants food over the winter let us know. Looking forward to doing some catering in the new year for Moran Mountain

New venture - a new cupboard will be appearing at the new Shieldaig Camping and Cabins site from June. Building work currently under way!
June 14th - getting ready for cafe on the Friday of Celtman for all the registering athletes.
April 2019 - Looking forward to the swallows arriving and the cupoboard is now back out on the seafront in a new location opposite the village hall next to the cattle grid.

January 2019 - busy start to the year cooking for Moran Mountain and the climbers on the winter climbing courses with packed lunches, afternoon cakes and 3 course evening meal. They eat a lot climbers do!

2018:
July 2018 - on holiday- yipee, so sorry no bread, jam, pasties or cakes until August when we will be back and up and running (or flying) again.
May 2018 - cupboard going out on the seafront on Thursday 3rd May - people have been seeing the swallows so it is time!

October 2017: Cupboard closed for winter but orders still available.

Summer 2017: Little Swallow Foods was delivering great food for Torridon Craft Fair throughout the summer. Soups, pasties,
quiches and cakes all with tea or coffee made for a treat while looking at the crafts.

July 2017: Cupboard moved down into the village (thanks Lucy). Bread, pasties, cakes and jams etc available there from now.

July 2017: Pop up cafe in Shieldiag at the village hall for the first week in July.

June 2017: Bread and oatcakes available at Loch Torridon Smokehouse

May 2017: Cupboard painted and put on the roadside outside Solas.
​
February 2017: Syrian meal held in Torridon Village Hall to raise money to support refugees. Fantastic turnout and contribution of food from local chefs. Over £1000 raised!!
